What Is Brow Lamination?
Brow lamination is “a perm” for your brows as it gives them a set uniform shape for an extended period. A two-step eyebrow perming treatment that involves correcting the brow shape by setting the hairs in place using a chemical solution. Laminated brows takes your unruly or thinning brow hair and smoothen it out while also lifting the hair in a more vertical direction.
Waxing After Brow Lamination
At Lucia Lash we use only a Thio-free perming solution, which is a lot less harsh on the brow hairs, and does not leaves hairs damaged. Though our perming solution is mild, it is still a chemical that can cause the skin to be more sensitive. In addition to ripping out your brow hair, the wax can also cause you to get a burn on your skin, which can lead to scarring.
The Solution
Instead of Waxing we will either tweeze or shave the brows instead. Why? Because this is much safer on skin that is sensitive.
If you would like to wax your brows, we recommend doing it 48 hours before or after your brow lamination appointment.
