It’s ok to wash your face when you have eyelash extensions. Washing your face actually keeps body oil from breaking down eyelash adhesive. There are some tips you’ll want to keep in mind so you don’t disrupt your extensions during the process…
How To Wash Your Face While Wearing Lash Extensions
1. Don’t get your lashes wet for 24 hours after application. The lash glue will need ample time to fully adhere to your natural lashes for better longer lasting retention. Once properly adhered, you can get them wet.
2. Never put go under running water with eyelash extensions. The direct pressure from your shower head can sometimes be too much for your extensions to handle. Use a gentle cloth to apply water to your face avoiding contact with your extensions.
3. Pat dry. This is an important step! The will prevent tugging and pulling on lash extensions while drying.
4. Gently brush your lash extensions with a mascara wand– one that’s clean and free of mascara. Brushing your lashes will help with better retention and fluff!
