Microblading is a semi-permanent procedure that typically lasts 18 months or longer, depending on each person’s skin texture. People with oily skin will likely notice that their microbladed brows fade faster.
We, at Lucia Lash/Brow Philadelphia and Brooklyn, use a special microblading tool made up of 10 to 16 fine blades of different thicknesses, which are dipped into a liquid pigment solution and dragged through the epidermis. We will use the tool to make the brow arches fuller, thicker, and symmetrical.
Can I get a microblading touch-up at Lucia Lash if I had it done elsewhere?
Normally, we advise our clients to have it retouched annually to maintain its gorgeous look. A follow-up will give you longer-lasting and more perfect hair strokes so you can keep your beautiful new eyebrows as long as possible. However, if you had it done elsewhere a few years back and wanted to have a touch-up with us, it’s a case-to-case basis, but mostly, no, we don’t. The reason why we don’t do touch-ups from outside work is that different estheticians use different techniques and different products, and we don’t want to run the risk of ruining your microbladed eyebrows.
Microblading is a semi-permanent procedure where the pigment stays on the brows for years. So what we recommend is either having the pigment be removed first through laser removal or going back to your previous esthetician.
It also varies if you just had your microblading in another salon a month ago and you don’t like the results and you want us to fix it. The healing process is crucial and there is no other way for us to fix it for you after a month. So it is very important to do some research about it first and seek advice only from professionals before doing the treatment.
