REACTION TO HAVING LASH EXTENSIONS AND HOW TO HANDLE THEM

Lash extensions are one of the best ways to look great and feel great. But if you have an allergic reaction or irritation afterwards, it doesn’t feel good at all. Let’s discuss the possible reaction to having lash extensions. Do you think you have an allergy to the glue or the lash extensions? Or might it be an irritation?

It’s essential to identify an allergic reaction to eyelash extensions for a speedy recovery.

Here are the signs to watch out for and how to handle them.

Are allergies and irritation the same?

To begin with, an allergy is an incredibly sensitive immune system response to what are known as allergens. Simply put, allergies to fake lashes occur when something triggers an allergic response.

On the other hand, lash irritation represents a response to exposure to an event that has already occurred.

There are numerous allergies to lash extensions with a wide range of symptoms and reactions that occur differently in various people, just as not everyone is allergic to everything.

A lash allergy can appear immediately, or it can also show up after 24 or 48 hours and can last a few days, while an irritation appears right after applying the lash extensions but disappears within the day.

In contrast to allergies to lash extensions, lash irritations are brought on by poor cleanliness, ineffective application, seasonal allergies, chemical burns, or even just the fact that the lash glue made contact with your skin rather than hair strands. Even if you open your eyes when you shouldn’t or in the middle of the lash treatment, you risk irritation.

How to prevent allergies or irritation?

All of our products are very gentle, and keratin is also infused with the glue and lash extensions. However, for your own safety, if you think you have an allergy to lash extensions, glue, or adhesive, inform your lash technician and consult with your eye doctor first before booking an appointment so that they can advise you on what is best for you. If you had an allergic reaction before to your previous lash technician, we also do a patch test before your appointment to see if you have a reaction to any of our products.

Also, by informing us about the reaction, we need to change the techniques for applying the lash extensions. We will not apply too close to the skin, and we do not offer sensitive glue because the retention is not good.

Also, The results may vary with each individual; sometimes, even if you didn’t have any reactions before, you might have one now. Swelling, redness, or irritation will always subside after 72 hours.
