Lucia Lash/Brow was born in New York,NYC City in 2015 as a salon specializing in eyelashes. I wanted to create a salon that will introduce clients to a unique eyelash extension technique that can only be experienced at Lucia Lash.

Customers always commented on how long their lashes last after coming to Lucia Lash compared to other lash salons. Because we are always looking to improve our skills, we have used this to create a WATER PROOF eyelash extension application technique that can only be done at Lucia Lash.

We have also created a lash glue containing keratin that will help keep natural lashes healthy, while wearing lash extensions. As a result, our brand has become very popular and have reached clients all over the world.

Traditionally, the most commonly-used ingredient in perming is thioglycolic acid (often referred to as Thio). Thio is actually a salt and is the reducing agent responsible for breaking the disulfide bonds in your hair. Thio works great but one of the main issues is that it has a very unpleasant odor (If you ever had a perm I’m sure you remember the bad smell!). Also, because of the very nature of perms, Thio is damaging.

– Thio Free Perming apply to lashes at a time. Take care to keep solution to hair area only. Cover brows with cling wrap to ensure the hairs are fixed in an upright position.

Step 3：Apply Keratin Treatment

Lucia Eyelash Extension Aftercare

To care for your lashes, be sure to follow these general guidelines

In the first 24 hours after getting your lashes done:

・Avoid having hot showers or baths, as the steam can breakdown your lash adhesive

・Avoid wearing eye makeup after your appointment

Ongoing care tips:

・Keep lashes clean and free of dust and debris

・Avoid oil-based skincare products, cleansers, and makeup removers as they cause the glue to breakdown faster – use only oil-free products

・Avoid oil-based eye makeup, particularly eyeliner. When removing eyeliner, use a cotton swab with oil-free makeup remover

・Use care when applying eye makeup

・Avoid applying additional mascara over your lash extensions, as this puts you at risk of losing lashes sooner than normal. Apply mascara will also clump the lashes together

・Do not use an eyelash curler

・Take additional care when washing your eye area; we recommend avoiding rubbing your eyes, and instead, use cotton pads or swabs to gently remove your makeup

・Avoid putting your face directly into the shower stream; the water pressure may result in damage to your lashes

・Sleep on your side or back and wear an eye mask with eye cavities to avoid pressing your lashes into the pillow

・Brush out your lashes with a mascara wand (provided by your lash technician) at least once a day in the morning, especially after getting them wet. Do this carefully without tugging your lashes

・Keep lashes away from direct heat such as ovens and blow dryers as they can cause your lash extensions to sizzle on the ends

Lash Fills and Removal

・If you come in for a fill please note that if more than 40% of the lashes are gone it will be considered a full set

・Lash Fill should be done every 2-4 weeks depending on which style of lashes you have and the retention you keep

・The average person loses about 5 lashes per day naturally during a normal lash cycle so do not be alarmed as this is normal

・Please come in for removals, do not attempt to remove your lashes at home. It is a quick and painless procedure when done professionally and keep the integrity of your natural lashes.

What is Brow Lamination?

Brow Lamination works in a similar way as a lash lift. It is a semi-permanent eyebrow trend that essentially involves straightening the brow hairs so that they all stand in the desired direction.

How long will it last?

Brow lamination is perfect for individuals who have a relatively good amount of brow hair and wants to enhance their brows to give an illusion of thicker, symmetrical, and uniformed brows that last up to 6 to 8 weeks.

Can you put makeup on laminated brows?

As with any perm, the most important thing to do post-lamination is to keep your brows away from water, steam and makeup for at least 24 hours.

How often can I have a Brow Lamination?

You can repeat the treatment after a minimum of 4 to 6 weeks or until your brow hair grows back into its natural state.

Arrive at your appointment with eyebrow makeup-free. This includes a brow pencil or powder, concealer, and foundation.

A different method of achieving the look of fuller eyebrows is through a technique called powdered brows. Powdered brows, sometimes known as ombre brows or microblading, utilize a somewhat similar procedure to microblading but have some additional advantages. Many people prefer this method due to its soft and natural look and less invasive nature.

With powdered brows, instead of merely using strokes to fill in eyebrow hairs, the needle is used to draw both dashes and dots on the targeted area. The pigment is deposited onto the skin, which causes it to last longer than the ?scratches? of microblading.

The methodology of ombre brows utilizes a technique of ?shaded? brows to give the appearance of fullness, thus giving excellent definition. You can build upon the initial shading to layer the look of your eyebrows. At first, the brows may seem dark, but they quickly fade to a soft, gentle look.

When given the option of microblading vs. powdered brows, many people choose the powdered brows for aesthetic purposes. Sometimes, a person may want to have a more solid look for her brow, and by getting powdered brows, you can enjoy looking in a mirror and seeing a complete brow.

Over the past few years, you may have heard about more and more people using a technique called microblading. This method is used to correct the problem of thin eyebrows. A semi-permanent solution, microblading uses a needle in a hand tool to create the appearance of eyebrow hairs that combine to give the illusion of a much fuller brow.

When you go for a microblading session, you first must decide what kind of look you are trying to achieve. Do you want just to enhance your current brow, or fill it in as much as possible? Then, you need to decide what color best matches your hair, existing eyebrows and skin tone.
Once you are ready to go, a numbing agent is applied to the skin.

This helps minimize the pain from the needle during the actual microblading. Since this is a somewhat invasive procedure, a numbing cream is indeed necessary. Your skin is also sanitized at the same time, making sure that this practice is safely done.

The next step is then the actual microblading, where small strokes mimicking eyebrow hairs are applied one by one using a handheld tool. This tool doesn’t deeply penetrate the skin; rather, it creates small scratches that transfer the semi-permanent pigment into the skin. The actual procedure generally takes between thirty and forty-five minutes.

Then, a calming cream is applied to help your face heal more quickly and more easily. After all, due to the needle, your skin is likely to experience redness, discomfort, and possibly even some scabbing. It may even be uncomfortable to sleep for a couple of days while your skin is healing from the microblading.

Now that you know what microblading is, you may be wondering how long this technique generally lasts. The answer to that is that it can range depending upon certain factors but usually lasts for a duration 2-3 years. Certain things are known to affect the staying power of microblading, such as your skin type in terms of dry versus oily, the facial products you use, sun exposure and lifestyle.

Step 4 – Mixing the color –

Your chosen color which should match your natural tones or your eyebrow colors.

Microblading -the color should match your natural brow colors.

Powder brows -the color should match your eyebrow pencil colors.

Step 6 – Time to heal will be given aftercare instructions –

You will be given some aftercare gel that you can put over the top to stop water getting in. Remember the skin is open like a wound, so you have to avoid getting any infection.

After 5-7 days they may start to itch as the skin is healing, which is perfectly normal – try not to touch them!

As they fade more you may well get disappointed but stay patient – it is normal for brows to go a bit lighter as part of the healing process, but then color will come back again.

An initial application is incomplete until after a follow-up appointment, which should be scheduled approximately 6-8 weeks after your initial appointment. There may be an additional charge for the follow-up appointment after your initial application if it is not included in your service price. 1st follow up is recommended to be performed within 3 months of the initial application.

Two or three applications may be required to achieve the desired results. It is not ncommon to lose up to 70% of the color on the ﬁrst application.

While your skin heals, be prepared for the color intensity of your procedure to be significantly larger, sharper, brighter, or darker than what is expected for the ﬁnal out come. This is a normal and expected result of the application and healing process. The healing process will take a number of days to complete, depending on how quickly the outer layer of your skin exfoliates and new skin regrows to take its place.

BEFORE THE TREATMENT:

・Do not take Asprin, Niacin, Vitamin E or IBUprofen 24 hours before the procedure

・Do not drink coffee, alcohol or energizing drinks on the day of procedure

・If you are use to getting your brows tinted, do at least 1 week prior to the permanent makeup procedure

・Do not tan or sun bathe 30 days before procedure

・Do not wax 2-3 days before procedure

・Do not have any chemical peels, dermabrasions, mesotherapy, or any other intense treatments which will cause faster skin cell rejuvenating and cause skin irritation 3-4 weeks before procedure.

・Wash your hair before the procedure.

AFTER THE TREATMENT:

・Do not contact with water or any other liquids than what was recommended for 10 days after the treatment. Even a small drop which seems unimportant may expand the wound and scabbing will appear .

・Clean the area with a small amount of sterile water on a cotton pad 2-4 times a day for the ﬁrst day. This will help remove any excess lymph, blood and pigment that may appear after the procedure.

・In case of dryness, but not earlier that the 3rd day, apply a very small amount of coconut or grape seed oil. Make sure your eyebrows are not greasy, but just moistened a little so you won’t see any residue of the oil.

・After 10 days you may use a gentle soap or non greasy facial cleanser to keep the eyebrows clean.

・Do not use other ointments, cream with vitamins or antibiotics on eyebrows during the healing process.

・No sunbathing or tanning for 4 weeks.

・No chemical peels, mesotherapy, dermabrasion, botox and any other strong treatments for 3-4 weeks.
