Everything you need to know about brow lamination

Giving our brows extra care and love can improve our entire appearance. Our eyes are one of our most prominent features. Maintaining our brows may make our eyes pop, make us look younger, and give us a positive impression.

If you are looking for a non-invasive, pain-free, and long-lasting eyebrow enhancement, brow lamination is the answer to your needs.

What is eyebrow lamination?

brow lamination service focuses on lifting the brows from the root to give them a fuller appearance. At Lucia Lash and Brow Philly, New York, Park Slope, Stamford, and Honolulu, we used a very gentle perming lotion called cysteamine, a thio-free solution, to prevent breakage and damage to your skin and hair. Also, keratin, a nourishing protein, is infused into your brows to keep them stronger and healthier. For a groomed, perfect look, the eyebrows are lifted and then placed in a coordinated direction. With this procedure, you can have long-lasting, gorgeous brows by rerouting the growth of your natural brows.

We highly recommend it to everyone who’s considering having their brows laminated to not wax, trim, or pluck their eyebrows for at least a week or two. Let your brows grow naturally, because our technicians will clean them after the lamination. At Lucia Lash and Brow Philly, New York, Park Slope, Stamford, and Honolulu, we don’t recommend doing a waxing together with brow lamination due to the fact that perming lotion and the chemicals that are in waxing can burn your skin. We either do tweezing or shaving around the brows after the lamination because shaping your eyebrows will give them a flawless and beautiful look.

Tips on how to keep your laminated brows looking fabulous

  • Avoid getting them wet for at least 24 hours. Water can cause the brows to become frizzy and can also strip away the lamination product.

  • Avoid using oil-based products, as oils can break down the lamination product and cause it to fade prematurely.

  • Avoid direct sunlight, saunas, or pools for 48 hours, as this can cause the brow lamination product to break down and fade prematurely. If you must be in direct sunlight, be sure to wear a hat or other head covering to protect your brows.

  • Use a brow serum and a spoolie brush after 24 hours to brush your brows every morning to keep them in place, which can also prolong the life and effect of brow lamination.

Brow lamination can last up to 6–8 weeks. When your brows start growing back after several weeks or so, contact us to make your next appointment. Continuing with brow lamination will redirect your natural brow growth to look the way you like it.
